The data provided is for estimation, analysis, and forecasting purposes only and does not reflect official metrics. The extension allows you to track new discount offers and enhance your Steam experience quickly and freely through a single tool and screen.

1. Information We Collect

Steam Pusula is designed to be lightweight and privacy-friendly. The extension does not collect, store, or transmit any personally identifiable information (such as your name, email address, or browsing history).

• Local preferences and cache: Your selected display currency, language preferences, and cached ranking or discount data are stored locally on your device using Chrome's storage.sync or local storage APIs to ensure faster loading and avoid redundant network requests. This data never leaves your browser.
• Price and Statistics data: To show price history, player statistics, and convert currencies, the extension fetches public game data and dynamic language files from external resources, your own server, and third-party APIs (IsThereAnyDeal, exchangerate APIs, and games-popularity.com) based on the Steam app page you are currently viewing. These requests contain only the game's public app ID and your selected region — never your personal identity.

2. Third-Party Services & Remote Data

The extension communicates with your custom server, public APIs, and external resources strictly to provide its core functionality and keep data updated:

• Custom Server — for dynamic language files (PHP) and discounted game feeds.
• IsThereAnyDeal — for game price history and store data.
• exchangerate-api.com — for currency conversion rates.
• games-popularity.com — for player statistics and charts.
• Steam API & Community — for game details, store pages, and global statistics.

These requests are made from the extension's background service worker and are limited to the data needed to display prices, statistics, and translations. No executable code or unsafe content is fetched. Please refer to the respective privacy policies of those services for how they handle requests.

3. Permissions

Steam Pusula requests only the permissions required for its features:

• activeTab — to read the Steam app ID and interact with the Steam store page you are viewing.
• storage — to save your local currency and language preferences, as well as cache rankings to improve performance.
• host_permissions — to fetch pricing, statistics, and remote JSON/language data from the Steam, your server, and API domains listed in the manifest.

These requests are made from the extension's background service worker and are limited to the data needed to display prices. Please refer to the respective privacy policies of those services for how they handle requests.

4. Permissions

Steam Pusula requests only the permissions required for its features:

• activeTab — to read the Steam app ID from the page you are viewing.
• storage — to save your local currency and language preferences.
• host_permissions — to fetch pricing data from the Steam and API domains listed in the manifest.

5. Data Retention

Because we do not store personal data on our servers, there is nothing to retain or delete. Any preferences saved locally can be cleared at any time by removing the extension or clearing your browser's extension storage.

The extension does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. It is a general-purpose tool with no age-specific data collection.
